Ryan started the new year off at a new school!
Despite a little hesitation and rocky start on the first the day he did GREAT! Once he got to school and got settled into Miss Amanda’s class he had a ball. He did really well his first week and got great reports everyday! It sounds like they are keeping him very busy!
Besides learning new letters and numbers this month they are also learning about ice and weather. They do different “experiments” with ice and dress up the “weather frog.” Ryan already has first field trip…Conway Ice Arena!
Here is what Ryan did on his first week:
(the following is what the above papers read)
Day 1:
Today we had a very busy and eventful day! We first welcomed Ryan and Quinn into the 4 year old classroom as well as Noah into the three year old class. We worked on writing as well as letter and sound recognition (letters S and T). We practiced counting and writing the number five. We read “Ice is Nice,” had weather, circle and calendar as well as played a jumping game and went outside. We made penguins in art as well as had free play! Have wonderful night!
Day 2:
Today we had full day of learning. We first started off being investigators. We investigated sets of five. We counted out various objects and documented them on our paper. We practiced writing the letter S, made a word web about what the moon sees, we had circle, calendar and weather as well as read “Polar Bears” and made them in art. Lastly we had free play and free choice reading. Have a wonderful night!
Day 3:
Today we had a full packed day of learning! We made patterns out of pattern blocks then drew out our pattern with crayons. We practiced writing the letter T as well as painted with frozen paint while talking about ice. We brainstormed words that rhyme with FROZEN and lastly we had free play and free choice reading. Have a wonderful night!
