Mt. Washington ~~ Hello Fall

Monday was Mike’s birthday so we took a trip up to Mt. Washington. 
This mountain holds a special place in our hearts and every year we make it a point to go up to the summit to enjoy what this mountain has to offer.  I am always amazed at the beautiful sceneries.  Photographs do not do this mountain justice!

This wasn’t Ryan’s first time up this mountain. 
Here is a look back at his first trip up Mt. Washington.
I’m not surprised that he didn’t remember it!

This year he was much more enthusiastic about the journey.  He had a lot more to say about the scenery and asked a lot more questions. 
Before we made it to the Mt. Washington Auto-Road we stopped along the way to see some sites and admire the foliage.  That’s right…Fall Foliage!!  Welcome Autumn.

Battle of the Badges

What a great day for baseball and charity!

Sunday afternoon was the first Battle of the Badges Baseball Game!  The police officers and firefighters throughout New Hampshire raised money for CHaD (Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth).  Mike and other members of Nashua’s Honor Guard presented the colors at the game.  While the firefighter didn’t win the game they did their part in the fundraising.  The police raised just over $6,000 and the firefighters…OVER $20,000!  I think the kids were the big winners here!  Nice Job!

Regardless of who won…we had a great time!

One of Ryan’s friends Alex was at the game too!  His dad is a firefighter with Mike.  They kept each other very entertained.
